ABOUT OUR FRATERNITY: Our fraternity is one of only two English speaking fraternities in Ottawa. We were canonically established in June 2001. Members speak French, English, Hindi, Swahili, and Spanish. Meetings are run in English. Our faternity is not parish based. We welcome inquiries from interested persons from anywhere in the National Capital Region. We hold annual Advent and Lent Retreats, celebrate the Transistus of St. Francis on Oct. 3, paticipate in The Way of the Cross during Lent, and lead Adoration and Benediction services the first Friday of every month. Fraternal Works of charity include monthly volunteering at St. Patrick's Home (Long Term Care facility) serving Afternoon Tea the third and fourth Sunday's of the month, and hosting Christian Education by guest speakers on topical issues, social justice activities, and other works as the Holy Spirit guides us. Currently, our fraternity is also sponsoring an emerging Franciscan Youth group for young adults aged of 18-35. |
